Convoluted

Convoluted renders nonlinear field interactions through GPU-based convolution dynamics. Each simulation evolves from minimal initial conditions—small perturbations that unfold into emergent topologies of flow, aggregation, and decay. The works are computed entirely in real time within Unity, using custom compute shaders that iteratively convolve local neighborhoods to generate self-organizing motion.

Across the five studies, matter behaves as if aware of its own boundary: BT traces diffusion patterns like biological tissue; Combustible Fibre captures ignition and consumption; Milk reproduces fluid entanglement; QCD echoes quark-like annihilation and emergence; Skin evokes cellular morphogenesis.

Together they form an experimental atlas of artificial materiality—where convolution replaces causality, and computation becomes a medium for observing how structure arises from feedback, resistance, and noise.
